I love to use "Easy Mold" FDA approved silicone molding. You can make mold out of half of the wine glass and just prepare your isomalt and pour it into the mold to set. I have made Isomalt Brooches this way.

Did you ever make the wine glass? I have to do a champagne glass this weekend and I'm stuck on how to do it.

Not sure if I can help, but I made a isomalt champagne glass last week, really quite easy, just got the mould making stuff from make your own moulds and took it from there. Was very pleased with the result!
