I have a wedding cake coming up that is 4 tiers. This is my first 4 tier wedding cake and I was just wondering if anyone has advice on how I should transport this cake. I use wooden dowels to support my tiered cakes and I have transported 3 tier cakes already stacked and have had no trouble. I always use a centre dowel for transport with the 3 tier cakes. There is just something that makes me nervous transporting this 4 tier cake. Thanks in advance for your help!
have you seen this? You should check it out.

And then there's the Cake Safe. I used it for a 4-tier wedding cake, with SPS stacking support (had to drill holes in the SPS plates, which wasn't easy). I know that's sort of "belt and suspenders" but it was my first wedding cake and I wanted to be able to sleep the week before without CakeWrecks nightmares. All went perfectly.
And then there's the Cake Safe. A wonderful tool that takes the worry out of transport. Not just keeping the cake in one piece, but protecting it from dirt, heat, humidity, and sunlight. Love it.

That's right (slaps forehead)! I forgot about the cakesafe. Now that is truely the best way to transport a cake. Pricey, but well worth it.
I'm with CakeCrystals.......I love my cake stacker system! My husband and I have transported a 5 tier cake (it's in my pics) with it with no problems and we had to drive down rutted gravel and curvy roads to get to the venue. I don't have a cakesafe but it looks like I might look into that too! I always worry about the humidity!
