Hi,

I dont know if this is in the right place, but I need an answer ASAP. My daughter loves penguins and her party is tomorrow. I am using the bear pan to form it , but I made a cake last night and the center piece that you place in the bear would not come out and i ripped the bear. I have to start over, but want to do it right this time. Can someone please Help me? I just need to know how to get the center piece out with n problems. Thanks for any help.

Are you greasing and flouring the heating core?

It would probably also help to remove the heating core while the cake is still warm (not hot) so that the flour/grease don't firm up and act like glue.

The directions from Wilton advise to use a firm batter (i.e., pound cake):
