I have a 1st birthday party cake coming up next month. I am doing the 2 of the large caterpillar cakes shown. The theme is the Very Hungry Caterpillar. The cupcakes that will also be made will have rolled BC with pieces of the food it eats through on it. The part I'm struggling with is the 2 caterpillars twins and one of the twins died shortly after birth. I want to incorporate each of the girls names onto the cake but I haven't figured out how to do it.
One idea I had was a butterfly like plaque to represent the end of the book.
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks

I like your butterfly idea, it also represents someone flying off to heaven.
Good Luck,

Maybe I'm just extra tired because it's almost 3am, but I've read your post several times and I cannot figure out what you are asking.
Is this what your asking because this is what I'm getting: You are making a Caterpillar cake for twins. But one twin died so you would like to represent both twins in the cake? So you're asking for ideas on how to do this??
P.s...That is sooo sad. I feel bad for their family! That's always sad to lose a child.
Thanks =]
I need help on how to get the girls names on the cakes. My idea was the butterfly showing the girls names. I am asking for any other ideas. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my original post.
Oh it's fine...I was just double checking!
Names on the butterfly would be especially symbolizing since one twin passed away. So, that would kinda show her flying off to Heaven or something like that. A Caterpiller would symbolize the other twin that is still growing and changing. I'm not sure if this helps you what-so-ever but these are just my thoughts.
