I've made the cake boss vanilla cake recipe a few times. My problem is, I can never tell when it is properly baked. When properly baked, it tastes delicious. But I find that even after a tooth pick comes out clean, it sometimes doesn't appear to be finished baking yet. The recipe says 35 min for 9" but I just had to throw 2 cakes in the garbage because they weren't done. If you use the cake boss vanilla cake recipe, how long do you normally bake it for or how do you know when they are done?

It does not brown. use the toothpick method or the touch method. it is a very bouncy cake. It is also finished when the center is solid. Don't overcook it.
