I finally took the plunge and purchased a mini compressor to airbrush cakes! I have been so excited to use it. So I get the airbrush and can not understand the little instructions that came with it. ARGH!!!! It's called Mini Air Compressor model TC-20. Does anyone else have this? And how o you use it? I poured a couple of drops in and turned it on but nothing is coming out! I would appreciate ANY help with this!!!!

I don't have that one, but I had that problem with mine, and it turned out that the tip of the airbrush was a little loose. I tightened it all the way, and it worked! Are you getting air through it?

Yes I get air but no color. I tried again yesterday and I finally got a little color but it splattered. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

you are getting air but no color.. sounds like you aren't pulling back the lever.. it usually is a two step process.. push down for air.. and pull back for color.. i always start my brushing on paper and glide it over to the cake..

PS.. be sure to clean it well.. with warm water.. there is usually plastic components w/in and you don't want to melt it.. i learnt the hard way...

I purchased a TC-20 a few months ago and just got to try it today. I was also getting air but no color out so I ended up on this thread -as I was looking for solutions or ideas on what may be happening.

Out of frustration, I took the air hose out and noticed that there was a piece of white styrofoam inside and a very small piece stuck on the outside. I removed the piece outside, but couldn't get the one inside out, so I started the compressor and blew the piece out. It now works fabulously well and I will be able to get some sleep tonight . I thought I had wasted my money on the kit, but, as it turns out, it's a great toy!
