I am going to try fondant flowers. Do you have any tips on how to make this easier?

I would really like to use gum paste but it is more epxensive than mmf.

Do you think that gumpaste is easier to work with than mmf for flowers?

I have seen that fondant takes longer to dry. I live in a very humid state/FL. Any other comments would be appreciated.

How far in advance can I make these?

Will the mmf flowers soften if left in a humid room? I don't want the flowers to fall apart after they have been dried.

It looks as though this post got overlooked..happens sometimes!

You can make flowers from MMF but I find that gumpaste makes a much more realistic looking flower because it can be rolled thinner. Fondant does take longer to dry, so you need to allow a few days of drying time. Once dried just store them in a container, it doesn't need to be airtight. They will keep for a very long time, I haven't ever had any go soft and it gets pretty humid around here too!
