I need to practice scrolls does anyone have a good practice recipe I can use? Preferably as cheap as possible. Thanks!

The Wilton class buttercream is meant for practice. It doesn't need to be refrigerated and will last 2 weeks in an airtight container. If it's not going to be eaten you can even skip the vanilla.

1 cup solid vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approximately 1 lb.)
2 tablespoons water (more or less for desired consistency)

For scrolls and other piping, I'd add a teaspoon of either corn syrup or piping gel.
