Do any of you decorate with one consistency of RI? I've just started using RI after using a glaze type such as Cookie Crazie uses. I love RI's flexiblity and would like to use it more. Also, does anyone have a problem with it drying out your cookie while setting out to dry? Thanks!

I use RI in two consistencies when decorating cookies. I use one consistency to pipe the outline of my design and then thin it down, much like colour flow, to fill in the design. And no, I've not found the cookie dries out. The completed cookie basically needs 24 hours to dry completely and then package it.

royal icing does dry out cookies and make them hard, so I use royal for outlining and then fill in with toba garret's cookie glaze.

hi, I use royal icing, one consistency for both out line and flooding, however, I outline in a tip 1 or #2 and fill with a larger one. Doesnt seem to affect my cookies too much.
