Hello cc friends! Everytime I have to do a cake for an adult male, I have a heck of a time figuring out how to decorate it! Tonight I have to decorate a round 8" cake for a male and am stumped. do you all have any ideas or pics you can refer me to?????
What sort of stuff does he like or does he have any hobbies you know of? I know my hubby loves poker and sports so I make his cakes towards those themes, whereas my brother-in-law loves art and movies. I try to generally gear it towards their interests. HTH
i generally do that as well but this one is just a simple birthday cake. I don't want to do flowers but need some design....
I just did one for an 11 yr old boy, but I think it is pretty generically "male" it is the most recent one in my pics. HTH

Scrolls are good for a guy. In brown or chocolate.
Chocolate roses and leaves are cool for a guy.
Stripes are good.
Think geometric shapes--like think of the pattern in an Indian blanket.
I just uploaded one of the mosaic dot type designs to my photos - you can change it to any color scheme and it works for male or female
Also, try searching "argyle" in the gallery
