I know that might sound dumb... but can I freeze cake balls for an extended period? I'm getting a lot of orders for Christmas and was thinking of making them, freezing on a pan then putting them freezer bags...I thougth I could maybe do this a week or two before my orders are due... Would they be alright?

My plan is when I'm ready to make them, remove cakeballs from Freezer to fridge the night before. The following day remove from fridge and cover in chocolate candy melts.

Will this work?
