when sculpting RKT's to make a 3D figure, are there any tips. (make the RKT's drier, cook marshmallows longer etc?) the regular rice krispy treats are almost too flexible... just wondering. trying to make rkt skull (covered w/fondant.)

When I do mine depending on how smooth I want it, I might whirl the dry rice krispies right out of the box in my food processor. You can really compact it and later carve away if you don't get the exact mold you want. I keep my hands buttered so it doesn't stick to me.

I use like 5 cups of rk instead of 6. I just slowly/gently melt the butter & marshmallows I don't cook it.

If I'm making a bunch of small things, I keep my rk over a pan of hot water so they stay soft so I can take my time & mold them. If I'm making a big thing I just plop it all out. Also I add some vanilla to the mixture sometimes before adding the dry cereal.

Rkt thoughts for you.
