I have a WASC cake (the one with oil) - I use no almond flavoring. It's covered w/ SugarShack's bc frosting. I plan to make a chocolate collar for this cake, and can't decide which chocolate flavor to use. Do you think white chocolate will make it all too sweet? Should I use a very dark chocolate? What about a combination of white and dark chocolate? I appreciate any thoughts you have on this.

I don't plan on a solid wrap of chocolate, but hope to replicate the one that was posted recently where the chocolate (tinted green) was in diagonal 'sticks'.

I myself would use white chocolate especially if you want to add color.

I vote for white too. the flavour is more subtle and it would certainly be easier to colour

I agree that the white chocolate would look better by far. My fear is that it would make it too sweet, along wtih SugarShack's bc frosting. Is that fear ungrounded?
