I am making an anniversary cake for my mom and dad. One 8" layer is enough for our family. White Almond Sour Cream recipe from here. I am planning to torte and fill with fresh local strawberries and top with chocolate ganache. Very simple and easy enough. It's something everyone will like especially mom and dad. What i was wondering is, can I just slice the berries and place between all layers or will the move around? Should I put a layer of ganache and the strawberries on top of that?? I've never done a fresh fruit filled cake before. Thanks in advance.

I would think just to be safe from the strawberries juices soaking through the layers, that you could add a thin layer of ganache. This will also solve your movement issues
