Hi,
Since I dont bake very often I have never frozen my cakes but this sunday I have to make a small Topsy turvy cake, So I baked and froze my cakes yesterday, I know that should probably carve them while they are frozen but can I also putting in the filling while they are frozen. Or do I need ot wait for them to thaw.. Its a basic chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream,
Thanks is advance

Unless you have already torted the cakes you will not be able to cut them frozen. Well you can however, it is very difficult and tends to tear the cake. Putting filling in while they are frozen tends to add more moisture to the filling as they defrost. I would let them thaw before working on them, this is my opinion anyway. icon_smile.gificon_smile.gif
