I have done this before to make a razorback hog cake. I lowered the temp to 325 and can't remember how long, it took a while. i didn't have a heating core to put in the middle, so I improvised by taking a sheet of aluminum foil about12" longs and fold it in half several times then rolled it into a cylinder shape, spray with cooking spray, and placed it in the center of the batter. ****make sure that you make the ring tall enough to compensate for the rising of the cake icon_smile.gif

Thank you I will try that. I did not even think to use a heating core of any kind. Thanks again.

I have baked in a glass bowl and stainless bowls before. The only difference I have noticed is that I have to reduce the heat to 300 degrees and almost double the baking time (as well as using either a heating core or flower nail.) Tip: Don't fill the bowl more than halfway! Learned this little lesson the hard way after my oven began shooting flames around the door!!
