I just ordered my first stencils and I want to make a batch of cookies. I want to use glaze on my cookies and was wondering if I can use the same glaze for my stenciling (different color of course), or do I have to use royal icing?

Also, if anyone has any tips or tricks to share with a new stenciler, I would greatly appreciate it.

I haven't tried it, but I use glace for all my cookie decorating. I would recommend adding quite a bit of powdered sugar to thicken the glace. I'm guessing it will work very well.
