I'm making cupcakes for my baby shower in a few weeks and my favorite cake is the 7-up pound cake. I've never used a poundcake recipe for cupcakes. Do they bake normally or should I use a different recipe? Thanks!

For the standard size cuppie (2 in bottom) in a reg SS pan, drop temp to 325 and bake for about 18 min. You won't get a dome....

Thanks! I don't mind the doming, I just wondered if the poundcake would bake up okay as a cupcake.

I was going to put them in the souffle cups decorated with ribbon after they were baked. I hope they turn out okay. I just prefer this cake, and it's my shower so I got to choose. icon_smile.gif

Pound cake is one of my favorites, too.
