I was going to make some cupcakes for a friend's daughter to take to school. She wanted cheerleading cupcakes, and I thought stars, megaphone (which I thought I had a cookie cutter for, but of course, don't so I'll have to free hand) and pom poms. Any other suggestions would be wonderful! Also, any ideas on making a pom pom to for a cupcake, I guess like a 3d look.
I'm just a hobby baker, and novice at that. I have a hard time thinking outside the cookie cutter!
TIA

You make a little fondant shirt with the school name on it. And I think a fondant megaphone would be adorable. Definitely make the pom pom's as well.

These were for a cheerleader party. The peace signs, megaphones and hearts were made of piped chocolate brushed with confectioners glaze and topped with edible glitter.

Try making two little handles out of fondant and using the hair/fur piping tip. I know my pom poms in high school looked like long strands of plastic hair scrunched up. These sound like fun cupcakes to make!
