Hello all.
my son just started pre-school. i was thinking about making some cupcake boquets for his teachers as a gift on the last day of school this year.
but i dont know how to make one. i remember seeing a tutorial for this a long time ago but am unable to find it. I hope someone can help me with this.
Thanks.

thank you so much amylou it was really helpful.
but i am still wondering if someone knows about the one where you use small cups glued or stapled to the foam/together.
i thought there was something like that here on CC or may be i am thinking of something else ...
you mean the ones that look like baskets? `Cause i`m also trying to find these on the web to buy, but I haven`t. I have some pics I have found on the web of several Cupcake Blooms, maybe I can send them to you, so you can have some ideas, as well as I can send you a small Cupcake Bloom I worked on. Which is your e-mail?

I just made one yesterday with the cup method (you can see it in my photos). Start with one 5 or 7 oz plastic cup. Staple six cups around this one and then 12 around those. I used double stick tape to attach green tissue paper around the cups to hide them and then I glued the cup bottoms onto a cake board small enough so it doesn't show. Then pop the cupcakes into the cups and ice them. It's easier to ice them in the cups since then the icing can touch each other slightly and make a nice tight bouquet. I made this for my son's preschool teachers and they loved it. Good luck.
I've made bouquets both ways, with styrofoam ball and with cups and the cup method is a LOT easier and much neater when it comes time to remove them to eat.
Here are some pics of the cups without the cupcakes and with so you can see how they're done.
I ice before I stick them in a cup (because i'm lazy and airbrush the color on instead of coloring my icing lol)
I have the directions for a cupcake topiary I made last year...

Thankyou so much , thats such a cool idea!
I too only use the cup method since it was taught to me. I have a step by step instruction sheet if you would like, that along with theinstructions from PinkLisa and KHalstead you can come up with a method that works for you, just email me if you want it.
KHalstead, I love yours with the airbrushing, that has got to be so much easier, I have used the Wilton sprays, but I'm waiting for my airbrush on backorder and I think this will be the first way I try to use it, yours look great!
