Okay, I am new with fondant, so at the risk of sounding dumb here goes...When you roll the fondant I know you have to use a little bit of powdered sugar on the board and pin to keep it from sticking...how do you get the white powdered sugar off to make the color of the fondant normal again?
You can use a brush or a damp paper towel to get the sugar off. That said, I don't use pc when rolling out fondant, I use crisco. PC can change the texture of the fondant and make it dry. HTH
You can also paint the finished piece with a little bit of vodka to get rid of the powdered sugar or corn starch. The vodka will evaporate and not leave a flavor or any alcohol behind, but it will make the fondant shiny.
