Hi. im going to bake a cake for my bothers 15th birthday. Im not sure what to do. Any ideas?
Hi Lil -
Think about what he enjoys - movies, computers, video games, sports? and go from there... be creative ! Thats what its all about - making the impossible - POSSIBLE ! and then you can eat too... LOL
My son LOVES Star Wars.. so I made the Star Wars cake for his birthday ! Whew.. that was a beast ! But the smiles will never leave my mind - I was famous for the day !
Good Luck -
Vicki
I've found that men of all ages love a boop cake, unless you think a fifteen year old might find it embarassing.

Hes a little young for boob cake
What about adapting instructions for making 3D spiderman bust and making bob marley's head? http://frostingfun.blogspot.com/
If you use google search for bob marley images it will bring up lots of pictures and you can print one off to use.
Ya, thank you for the idea but i dnt think my mom would appreciate the boob cake lol.
But i found a really good bob marley stencil. Now i shall ask one more thing, what is the best way to tanfer it??

ahuvas, thanks for the link to the instructions on Spiderman......always handy to have. Just wish I could make one of those!!
you can try transfering the image with clear piping gel. Photocopy your image backwards and outline it with a thin tip or parchment paper then take the outlined image and put it face down on your cake surface. Pat lightly and pull up the image. The piping gel should transfer onto your cake, then you can go abck with colored icing and fill in the details. Hope that helps or at least gives you an idea. Good luck.

I think the best way to transfer it to the cake would be a frozen transfer.
Print off the stencil to the size you need for the cake, then cover it in plastic wrap.
Then just make your icing and with a piping bag filled with icing just go over the picture on top of the plastic wrap.
Sort of like tracing but with icing
Once you have that done place the plastic wrap with the icing in the fridge or freezer until firm.
Once it is firm then just take the transfer and lay it on the cake and peel back the plastic wrap.
I did mine for my son's birthday and used our grandson for the transfer picture and it turned out great...you can see it in my photo's.
Make sure that the transfer is on something firm like a book or cake board so that when you go to move it it's on a flat surface.
