How do you apply disco dust to dried fondant or gum paste? Does it have to be diluted with alcohol or used dry?

I usually dip my brush in alcohol dip in dust then brush on. Hope this helps

I spray baking/cooking spray lightly over the surface I want to cover then sprinkle on the dust with my fingers.I don't use a brush cos that picks the dust back up.
