I am sure this has been done before, but I started doing this with my cupcakes without seeing it anywhere, so I am kinda claiming it I love doing it for bigger orders because the decorating can be done weeks in advance.
Roll out fondant around 1/8"- 1/16". Using a 2" or a little bigger cutter - what ever shape you like. . .round, square, flower, star, etc. cut out however many you need for each cupcake.
Using the clear scrapbooking stamps, impression mats, monograms, quilting, etc. emboss that into the fondant. Allow to dry out completely on a dusting of cornstarch, turning over after 24 hours if necessary.
Make paints out of dusts in your color scheme and color in like watercolor over the embossed stamps. There are a million ways to embellish these. Check out my site to see what I mean. www.beeskneescakes.com/cupcakes. Just lightly push them into your buttercream frosting and Voila! You've got beautiful hand-painted cupcakes. I charge anywhere from $.25 - $1.00/ topper.
Thanks for sharing all the info! It sounds great! I tried to look at your webpage, but it wouldn't load for me. I tried it twice. I'd love to look at it though.
You need to take the period off the back of the link to get to the site.
Very impressive!
Those are so cute. A great idea. I am partial to a big ass swirl of buttercream on my cupcakes though. (personally eating them that is), but that is a great idea to offer to customers!

When OP typed the web address, the period (.) was included. Just click the link, then in the web address, delete the period. It works. Or Copy and Paste without the period.

Looks like she put a period at the end of the website. If you just erase the period, you will get to her site. Very pretty cupcakes by the way!!
