I want to make an Afro cake for a 60s/70s themed party, but would like to hear your thoughts on how to do it.

Maybe a ball pan for a head and then cover it in choco covered cake balls for the hair?

Or you could do like a break dancing floor and make some fondant figures? I like that idea better.

Just a few ideas..... HTH

ps I would def consider putting a rainbow head band on it with a peace sign! lol Those were huge!

Round pan for the head/face and tip 18 swirls for the hair. Small swirls until you build an afro.

What if you stacked a ball pan on top of a round?

if you do the actual afro you must have a pick sticking in there somewhere!!!!

Thank you for your suggestions. I am LOVING the pick idea especially the one with the "power to the people" fist. LOL. Anywho, I will draw out a few ideas and let you know if the idea ever gets to make a realistic debut.

Let me know if you come up with any other ideas.
