All you great cake people out there... I need help!

I have a wedding cake April 25th that is a 6 tiered stacked cake. I have no problem delivering a pre-stacked 3/4 tiered cake. I can't imagine delivering a 6 tiered stacked cake though... mainly b/c of the weight! My husband and dad could help carry it, but I don't know if I want to watch them carry in a cake that they dont have hours of time invested in.

Also that delivery is about 20 mins from my house... very hilly and curvy roads. I'd love to hear some suggestions... I keep going back and fourth about what to do!

What type of a support system do you use?

The dowels... I've actually used pvc pipe on the heavy bottom layers, which I planned on doing with this cake as well...
