Those are great - any chance of getting the recipe?? My kids are always clammoring for donuts, which I don't know how to make, lol.
I THIRD the plee for the recipe! they look delicious! Looks like cinnamon/sugar coated? Mmmmm, please pass on the recipe!
Yummo! If you are PMing out that recipe, add me to the list too please oh please! I'm glad you posted a pic anyway as they look great AND tasty!
I second that! They look like these sugar donuts that this Chinese place used to sell!
homemade doughnuts are my favorite sweet treat - golden brown warm sprinkled with icing sugar...
I would also love the recipe if you are willing to share!
for anyone traveling through Saskatchewan, Canada:
Take Highway 5 through Wadena, stop at the Esso station for gas. The lady who owns the store sells her homemade doughnuts there and you get free doughnuts with gas. They are the most amazing! Exactly like the ones my Ukrainian family and friends used to make.

When I was little, a lady on our block used to give out homemade doughnuts for Halloween. My sisters and I looked forward to it every year and, believe it or not, we still talk about it now when we're all in our 40s and 50s!!!
(Have times changed or what?!! Can you imagine giving out anything homemade now at Halloween? People would think you were trying to poison them!)
Oh YUM YUM YUM!!!! Please oh please share the recipe!!!!! My kids would love you forever LOL
has anyone been able to get the recipe?? If so, I would also love to have it. These look great and I would think a little bit better for you than the fried version(not that we are really concerned with that
Well, she hasn't posted the recipe here so I did a google search. I'm thinking this might be similiar? http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/donutmuffins.htm hope that works. Think I might have to make some tomorrow morning!!
Barbarooskie was kind enough to pm those who asked when she first started the thread. She might be overwhelmed with requests now, so here it is:
(1) package of Yellow Cake mix
Ingredients to make the cake called for on the box
1 tablespoon of ground nutmeg
After mixing the cake mix, cake mix ingredients, and nutmeg- place in the greased mini muffin/cupcake pan (no liners or mini cupcake papers).
Bake in the oven for about 12 minutes or until done.
Get 1 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 1/2 cup of ground cinnamon (you could actually use more if you would like), and mix sugar and cinnamon together.
Get warm mini cupcake and roll the cupcake in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
You can eat as is or even make a glaze.
Enjoy!!

Are you sure this is right? 1 1/2 CUP of cinnamon...just checking
Thanks so much for taking the time to pass this along.
I think the cinnamon and sugar is just for rolling the muffins in so it probably doesn't matter.
Thanks for posting the recipe here JGMB!!!
