What is the best way to cut a topsy turvy cake for serving? I'll be using 10, 8 and 6 in round. Depending on the way it should be cut will determine what flavor each layer will become.
Thanks a bunch!
I would also love to know the answer to this, so here's a bump
I always provide cutting guides with my cakes but have no idea what the best way to serve a TT is!!
Can anyone please point us in the direction of a serving/cutting guide? TIA
I have only done the topsy turvys as party cakes so far. I always have people that come up wanting a small piece or a "slightly" larger piece. So, I just cut it as I would a normal round and let them pick out their piece. You could do it this way or just widen the shorter side's pieces and make the taller side pieces a little skinnier. If you think about it, it has the same servings as the regular round of the same diameter so it shouldn't be that hard to cut. It just looks harder then it really is.
