I have been wanting to try making cookies from cake mix. I found a "recipe" for using cake mix, and understand how that works. What I am wanting to try though is using a cake mix recipe for cookies that you roll out and cut w/ cutters. Is that possible? If so, can someone tell me what to add? Would you just add flour? I use the NFSC off of here and love it, but I am wanting to do some Red Velvet cookies w/cream cheese icing to offer with my Valentine's specials.
TIA
Hi there
I have done these kinds of cookies numerous times. I use the wilton cookie maker with different shapes. Its pretty easy. You might want to try it.

Did a search for you, I've been wondering about it myself...

Roll out cookies made from a cake mix, stick of soft butter and 2 eggs.
I made cut out cookies with cake mix a while back. All I did was add some flour to the recipe after it was mixed to stiffen it up so I could roll it out. I think I used roughly 1/4 of a cup. Maybe a little more. I wasn't really measuring closely. It worked out well. HTH.
