Hey guys,

In a pinch here and need an answer fast. I've noticed 3 different recipes on here for a champagne cake. Which is the best? One looks a lot harder than the other and I just don't know which is best. Has anyone tried these recipes or know of a good one? I need to make 24 cupcakes by tomorrow. Thanks!!!!

Amy

I have made from mix(white cake) and replaced the water with the champagne and it turned out great!

Know this probably isn't much help but just took a look at the recipes posted here and the first one looks to be the easiest. Looks like a pretty basic recipe and don't think you could go wrong with it. Good luck!! Sorry that this isn't more help. icon_cry.gif Leslie

I did the pink champagne cake last year and was not overly impressed, the batter tasted great but the finished baked product was just regular cake tasting, whatever made the batter taste good, left during baking.

Go with replacing the water with the champagne, the alcohol cooks away and it'll impart a bit of flavor. Good Luck!

I too have used the champagne instead of water, and it was GREAT !

Great, thank you!!! So I just need a box of plain white cake mix, and then replace water with champagne. Thanks so much, that sounds easy enough!
