My well is dry! Anyone have an idea for a cake for child care providers? There is a group of them meeting for a potluck and I need to make a cake for them. Any ideas are welcome!! Thanks!!

Are they all at the same child care facility, if so could you incorporate the logo in with a kid scene, ie. fondant kids sitting at a table doing art or sitting around the teacher while she reads a book? Kids playing on the playground? (I love fondant sculpting so that is where my ideas come from).

I would think maybe a grown up cake. Like a basket cake w/ fresh (or fondant fruit) in it.

I know that when I worked at a daycare, it got hectic. You could maybe put a funny twist on it. MAke a couple of teachers and some kids. Do one kid throwing a fit, another biting or fighting for a toy. And a few others being chaotic. ANd the teachers in the middle completely terrified. It'll put a humorous note to there everyday life.

The teachers went gaga over the cake I did for my daughter's preschool Teacher Appreciation Week. I'm not sure how to put a link in here, but I'll try:

The theme was "Kids bloom, thanks to you, Sunshine School Teachers!" I used fondant flower cut-outs and put kids faces in the center of each flower.

Hope that helps! Good luck!!!
