Well, you could make a jersey with his favorite players name on it. Or even a baseball diamond with miniature baseball players on the bases if you coud find them in time. Good luck!

you could make it round and decorate the whole thing like a baseball --then add an autograph from one of his favorite players--which you could just pipe maybe. or even put the logo of his fave team on the baseball...??

I would do a search on fondant figurines for various tips to help the figurines stand upright. I know that toothpicks are pretty much essential. Also, I believe some people add gumtex to the fondant to make a stiffer consistency. So far, I have only done small fondant figures (hello kitty, farm animals) so I would definetly seek out information on some other threads.

You could photoshop all his favorites together and print on an edible image, affix to fondant and place on the cake then accent with icing. Have done this several times for cookie cakes, looks great and is soooooo easy!

i was thinking of the same thing to create a baseball out of the cookie cake and either do the signatures of the players he likes or the logos of each of the teams or the players jersey numbers.
