I had a dinner and dance over the weekend. For desert they served cake from a local Portuguese decorator. The cake was alright(little dry) but oh my the icing was unbelievable. The best I've ever had. It wasn't BC nor was it MMF or fondant. It looked like a royal icing but it was not hard and it had a taste of caramel or something similar. Anyone know what it could be? Maybe boiled icing? I've heard it is popular in Europe. TIA
