I want to make a white chocolate cake with raspberry filling. I have seen recipes with wc and vanilla extract, wc and almond extract, wc and half vanilla half almond, then there was a recipe with wc and raspberry flavoring. Now I love almond, so I want to try the half v half al.

has anyone used this half and half recipe, I'm wondering what that taste like with the melted wc?

What about using all three v, al, rasp, how do you think that would taste, has anyone tried this recipe, if you think this is a good combo how would I measure all flavors to give it an equal blend where they all compliment each other (not one over powering the others, does this make sense)?

I was wondering about the cake recipe with melted cherry garcia icecream; the recipe is just the cake mix flour and melted icecream right? Has anyone ever added a flavoring to this recipe that would compliment the icecream? Again I love almond and I'm thinking cherry almond.

I hate the taste of raspberry jam but I love the raspberry filling in jelly donuts; is the raspberry filling that they sell in plastic sleeves in the cdss taste like the donut filling?

I think almond is a little overpowering when used. I prefer the taste of almond though, so I don't mind. I think you can mix all three and it would be fine. I've only used rasp. in a buttercream. Mine has a slight pink tint to it, so if you're trying to achieve white make sure yours is clear. I also think the rasp. was more potent, so I would have almond and rasp. be in a less amount than the vanilla. I tend to think that vanilla is just put into recipes to heighten all the other flavors so don't expect it to shine through.

I don't really have an answer to your other questions, so I'll also provide you a bump. Good luck and let us know your results. thumbs_up.gif
