Help!! Please!!

I am putting the letters on a Coach Purse. But the gumpaste/fondant is streaching and not cooperating. There are folds in the purse so I need to be able to bend etc. so I cant let it dry completely dry

Are there tips to how to put the lettering on?? Maybe Im dunce and just having an overloading moment.. but theres got to be an easier way!!

The purse is due for delivery at 3pm!!

Sounds like you need a break. Breathe, have a drink, cigarette, whatever. What are you using to apply them to the purse? I usually brush the entire back of the piece in clear vanilla and "glue" it on. I have to hold it there for a second until the vanilla dries a little, but they usually stay in place.

Okay... breathing...

Do you usually use gumpaste fondant mix for the lettering? Or do people usually paint them on?? this is the first time doing this And I thought "Ohh no problem, easy enough" (my downfall)

For this purse I made a stencil using a piece of poster board, then I painted the letters with food coloring mixed with a little vodka.

Thank you I think I may try that way next time... sounds a little easier haha

Right now I'm half way done with the gumpaste letters.

Does applying the gumpaste with vodka work or am I asking for trouble with the letters possibly falling off?

PS Thank you soooo omuch for your input... always learning daily icon_smile.gif

Never tried vodka...I would think it's not sticky enough. icon_confused.gif
