Hi everyone,

I found a great devil's food recipe on cook's illustrated.com but the cake pans it calls for are 3, 8-inch and I am doing 2, 12-inch pans. The sticker on the inside of the pan says 7-71/2 cups of batter for this pan. Help! Yes I know my math is lowsy, but how do you guys figure this out with larger than normal pans??

Thanks!

Jodi

I think it might just work out to be about the same. Honestly, I would just make one batch the way the recipe calls for and measure out the batter. If you have too much, then you could make cupcakes and freeze them. icon_wink.gif
