ntertayneme is working on an article explaining this technique. She said that it should be ready very soon. I'm sure she would explain everything to you if you want to PM her.

All you do is skip the first step. Then make the flower as usual. The 5th and 7th petal rows should be down a bit lower though.

Start on the stick, and end on the stick. Don't start building up on the frosting.

It's super easy to do. It seems scary, but it isn't.

This is a great technique. I can not for the life of me make regualr roses. My mounds always topple over. I heard about this way, now I am a rose making fool! icon_lol.gif

Please don't think I've forgotten you all!! I've had a multitude of problems going on lately lol.. my car wouldn't start this morning (has a brand new fuel pump less that 2 months old and I think it may have gone out again), so I had to hop on my motorcycle and ride to work today with 50% chance of rain because my DH had gone fishing!! LOL .. it doesn't stop there!! the digital camera now doesn't want to download my pictures to my laptop... I think it's my laptop as it's been giving me some problems lately (it's getting old; like me ) then when I put the memory stick from the digital camera into a jump drive that you can use to download pictures from, it went out too!! arrrrgghhhhhh!! It's just been one thing after the next .. I'll more than likely be working with my DH on a car most of the weekend... I have a puppy I need to take to the vet who's broken out with some awful rash all over her body ... it keeps going, but I won't continue to ramble here!! LOL but I promise, as soon as it settles some here, I will be sending you all the pictures and instructions ... I have the pictures all done and ready to download and the instructions won't take but a few minutes to type up... as soon as I get it all done, I'll let everyone know icon_smile.gif

I learned on a stick but don't care for it. Frosting has to be thick and if it is not it will slide down the stick. Or maybe I work to slow! Anyway my instructor swore by the stick method. I do like the way they slide off right onto the cake though.

Can't wait to try the stick method-but take care of the car and dog (not necessarily in that order) first-been doing roses the old way for quite a while-a while longer won't hurt!
