Pun intended! LOL
OK, so we were going to this Halloween party on Saturday. I had intended to make a cake, but with everything else going on I told DH taht I was just going to skip it and make something less time consuming. And he? Well, he said I should make the cake. While he HATES American style cake and doesn't ever crave the flavor, I think he really gets a kick out of the creations! He even made sure Henry (my 18 month old) was out of my hair so I could decorate it. WHAT??
Today, when we were buying new printer cartridges I asked him to pick up some business cards for me and he didn't say, "No" or "It's a waste". He just asked if I wanted matte, glossy or linen!
The KICKER... tonight he was helping our older son with his science project - they need to make a model ear. I had gotten them polymer clay to make it with.
Well, he was having fun with the clay and he said he should do more of it as he likes it. I got a twinkle in my eye and said sort of tongue in cheek, "Well, you know, the biggest rage in cakes are edible clays and people make figures with them all the time. You could make them for me if people want that. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than this clay." His reaction, "Sure, we can try that."
WHAT?!?!!?
Maybe it's because he sees I'm looking to this on the side now and not full blown, let's try to do this so I can stay at home, kind of job... Maybe it's less threatening if I'm just slowly building up? He didn't even croak when he saw I bought a bunch of new pans two weeks ago on a 50% off sale...
Men... I'll never figure them out! And I have two sons (no girls!) so I'm doomed! LOL
Happy about his change in attitude though!
Melissa
Wow......
I'm married and have two grown sons.
If he's being supportive, and even helping in small ways - that's great!
Enjoy!!!!!
