Yes I read the directions on how to make square corners and that helped, but I am seeing some of the perfect square cakes some of you do and it seems like an impossible dream! I need some tips. How to get the corners and sides so perfect?!

I used the directions on here and got pretty good corners, then I covered with MMF... squished the corners so they were kinda rounded. How do I prevent that?

Someone (who doesn't make cakes) suggested that I make corners out of sugar to get them sharp... anyone try this?

I'm no expert, by any means, but my suggestion is to use Magic Line pans...they are sooooo much better for nice sharp square corners.

I don't see any way around fondant rounding off the corners, though. It's just the nature of the beast. icon_evil.gif

Kidding....I love fondant. icon_biggrin.gif

You are right that is just what I needed. I had seen that thread earlier, but the additions people added in later were extremely helpful! THANK YOU!

I'm going to the hardware store tomorrow! That paint edger looks like the answer!

fondant will always have round corners, you can not get sharp corners with fondant.
