When you have a cake that has fondant pieces, wafer paper pieces like butterflies, or gumpaste items, how far in advance can you make those pieces and how long are they good for?
Thank you!!

I don't know if they're good for a year or something but if you're drying it it can be made weeks or months ahead of the cake. I made calla lilies for my sister's wedding cake a couple months ahead and now over a month later I have a couple left that are fine.
