I've had both Pie Crusts and Puff Pastry sitting in my freezer for a while and am baking for a bake sale on Monday.
Any simple ideas to use them up? I have most of the usual baking stuff around, plus lost of chocolate and several pudding and Jello flavors, a bag of frozen strawberries, marshmallows. And some Cashews. (I mention those only as idea starters)
Can you tell I'm trying to clean out the pantry and freezer with this?
Any suggestions and/or recipes to use this stuff up?
Thanks!
Use the pie crusts to make individual tarts (mini pies). Here's a link for a lot of recipes from the Pillsbury Pie Crust website:

Here's one for puff pastry recipes:

Hope this helps.
OOOOOOOOOOOH Make pumkin pie and chocolate cream pie! No recipe on hand but check epicurious.com
YUM. I am coming over.
I make something wonderful by wrapping chunks of chocolate in puff pastry, then glazing & baking. Not sure where the recipe is right now, but it's so delish. (Don't like pie crust, so I can't offer any advice there.)
Here is a favorite recipe:
Chocolate Chip Pie:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs (well beaten)
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup coconut
1 tsp vanilla
1 unbaked deep dish pie crust
Blend sugar, flour, eggs, butter and vanilla well.
Stir in chocolate chips, pecans and coconut. Pour into unbaked pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 mins. till firm. I then let it cool completely
before cutting. You can serve it warm or cold.
