Thanx for posting all the amazing pics from the Food Network Challenge! No wonder you wanted to share them so bad...I'm in awe!!!!
Wow!!!! Those are amazing, the things they did with chocolate. How long did they have to complete this challenge? I'd never be able to do something like that, but to even attempt would take me YEARS - I'm not kidding!
Thank you very much for sharing those pictures, they are awesome.
You're welcome. I was so excited to see these events. They had 6 or 7 hours per challenge. Sorry I couldn't remember the names of all the winners and competitors. ( Maybe some others who attended can help me with that)
I know for the Sports cake challenge they had to bring all their cakes made ahead of time. I can't remember exactly but it was something like 3- 8" cakes, 3-10" cakes, 3-12" cakes, 5- 11x15" cakes and I forgot the rest but they had to use 75% of those cakes in their final show piece.
For the Cupcake, Sportscake and Daredevil sugar challenges the decorator's had an assistant to help them throughout the whole time. The decorator for the Chocolate Challenge worked alone the entire time.
These shows will air sometime in November on the Food Network and of course will have a lot more details on what went on.
Enjoy!

I love the pics... but is it just me or does Colette peters win just because she "colette peters" ? Her cake was cool, but some of the others were way more amazing!
I agree with peacock.....Collette's cake was wonderful but the Matador Cake was AWESOME, that would have the been the 1st palce choice for me! All the cakes are amazing....thanks for sharing them with us!
I have to agree too. Collette's cake was wonderful but to see that matador or the Tour De France cake and the exquisite detailing in either of them, to me made them far better. I don't know all the rules of judging though so I'm not sure how they determine the winners.
