I am looking to buy a edible image printer. I was wondering what printers you used and where did you get them from? Thanks.
I have a Canon IP 3000, but those are discontnued. Kopykake has a list of printers that are compatible with their ink cartridges: http://www.kopykake.com/pc_CompatiblePrinterGuide.html That is a good starting point. Once you find a modle, just start seaching online for really good prices. Just make sure you get a brand new printer--never been used with regular inks.
i have a canon pixma ip600d i got at amazon 89 bucks and the inks and sheets at icingimages.com i think 113 bucks there. so far so good. no problems.
I am interested in purchasing a printer too. Do those of you that have them use them often? Are there problems with ink drying if you do not use them often?

Mine sometimes sat for months with no use and the inks were fine. I would just run a plain piece of paper through on a test print to make sure everything was okay. I do find that I am using mine more often now doing edible image plaques. Way cool!
I have the Canon i960 and just love that thing! I bought my system from www.icingimages.com . I use might quite a bit so the printheads have never really had a chance to dry out on me!!
I was wondering what printer I should get. I have a Lexmark scannr/printer and was wondering if I could use this for the scanner and use the canon for the printer. Or is is good to get those all in one printer/scanner. Which do you think is better?

My Epson is an all-in-one printer/scanner and I use the scanner for scanning pics if I need to. I then have my separate Canon printer just for edible images. I don't think anyone has ink cartridges for the all-in-ones, but I could be wrong.
I have ordered a printer from this website.

You may want to check the link that you posted. It links to this thread!
Does anyone know a canadian supplier for edible ink? I can't seen to find in available around here and finding a local supplier would probably help me decide which printer to get. (I live in Ontario)
