I'm going to start working in an amazing bakery! My manager for my current job (that I just gave notice to today) gave me an ad from a local bridal magazine for this bakery because she knew about my passion for decorating cakes (I had no idea this place existed). Well, I decided to see if she was hiring...turns out she was! So, long story short, I went to see her on Tuesday because I was in the area, and she wanted me to come back last night to chat with her about the job...so I did, and she wanted to hire me!

Man, she is so SWEET! I cannot believe I'm going to be working for a woman who not only helped teach with Nicholas Lodge, but she has friends who are judges on the Food Network...AND she knows Bronwen and multiple other famous cake people!!! OMG!!! How totally awesome is this?!?!?

I'm actually going to be her front-end manager which pretty much means I run the front end (duh), but I'm also going to be the universal peg meaning that not only with I be running the front, but I'll also get to bake, decorate, and clean whenever I'm needed! I am going to learn soooo much from her! I cannot wait to start!

So long mundane retail position...hello fun and exciting world of professional CAKE DECORATING!!!! Wheee!!!

Thanks everybody! I am definitely going to be majorly spongie and absorb everything I possibly can ! My new boss just called me this morning, and I start on the 28th since I had to give proper notice to my old job. Eeee...I can't wait!
