i want to do a bct this weekend but i dont know what recipe to use. I have read the instructions on how to do it and i get that, i just dont know which recipe is best? Also do i use the same kind of buttercream as the outline as i do to fill? And does anyone have a recipe where the measurements are pounds and ounces as i live in engand so i dont understand your cups and sticks!
please help!

Is the recommended icing to do this with.
Yes, you can use the same icing that you outline with as to fill, you will have your icing that you outline with a little thicker.

I outline with the black wilton tube frosting you buy at the grocery store....I find this is easier than coloring black frosting, very neat also

Then I use the recipe here at CC to fill in the outline there is a tutorial under articles. I followed this step by step and it was simple....

IMHO I use regular chocolate fudge icing from the store for my outline or for any black marking I also and add black dye to it. I was having trouble with the outline sticking to the wax paper. But I figured out if you rub the wax paper with shortening before you start your outline it will peel right off. Good Luck!
