Hi -

I'd like to make a version of the cake I've linked to. I emailed the creator (kgunn), but haven't heard back yet, so now I'm turning to you for help.

What I'm really wondering is if I should put on the vertical slats of the basket with fresh fondant or should I cut and paint the fondant and then let it dry? I can do either - I prepped ones to dry this weekend, so those are set. But I don't know if I should use fresh or dried.

What would you do?

Thanks -
Christy

i think either way would work

fresh (and painting after constructed) would help with making sure they're the right size and they fit well on the cake

but the dry ones might add a realistic 'stiff' look to the basket

i'd go with what u feel comfortable with
