Hi all,
I'm looking for a good, sturdy, round 3" cookie cutter. I'm hesitant to get a cheap tin one b/c they are not perfectly round.
Also, has anyone used the kopykake 3" rounds frosting sheets? I was just wondering how they came and if you put them on your cookies frosted with MMF...
thanks!!

I think Witon makes a round cookie cutter but I am not sure how big.
And I have used the frosting sheets on cookies and cakes. They work with royal icing, buttercream and fondant. The icing and fondant need to be a little moist and not dry.
The icing sheets are difficult to remove from the backing if the air is too humid. In cases of high humidity, use a blow dryer to dry out the icing sheets.
oh great, thanks! I've seen the wilton comfort grip round cutter at joann's, but haven't measured it. maybe i'll take my 40% coupon and get it...even though it's probably only 2.99...LOL
do you spray your fondant with water, or can you put the frosting sheets on warm MMF?
thanks!
I have the Wilton comfort grip round cutter, but it's 3 1/2 inches in diameter. It is nice and sturdy, so if the extra half inch won't be a problem, I'd recommend it.
I also have a very sturdy set of biscuit cutters that are taller than cookie cutters, and have handles on top, and the largest one is 2 3/4 inches (the cookies are about 3 inches when baked, they do spread slightly).
I bought mine locally, but I'm sure you could find them to order if you can't find them in a store near you.
Here's a link to the set I have:

Here's another single one that's 3 inches exactly:

hth!
Laura.
Thanks! The only reason I wanted 3" is because the frosting circles are 3". The extre 1/2" wouldn't really be a problem, I suppose! I think I will get the wilton. Thanks for the links, though! I think it might be worth investing in a set of biscuit cutters anyway!
You're welcome!
I have all three sets of the biscuit cutters (round, fluted round, and square) and I use them often for cookies and biscuits too!
Laura.
