Are The No-Fails Supposed To Be Crunchy Or Soft???

or does it just depend on how long they are baked? Do some ofyou bake at a lower temp for longer?

When I was a kid mom always made sugar cookies and we iced them with knives and after sitting for a while, the icing seemed to make the cookies softer. I like them that way, but my sister didn't. So I guess I'm jsut curious as to whether or not all cookies get soft after sitting for a while.

I think it depends on how long you bake them (I bake them for 8 min.). When I make nfsc, they aren't hard at first but then they get a bit harder as they cool but not really crunchy. Also, maybe it has something to do with the thickness. I like to make a thick cookie. How thick are yours?
