just got back from michaels!!!! used my 50% off coupon, im just giddy i took my sister, and my mother, and had them use a coupon a piece too.lol drug em out of thier nice cozy houses for the sake of cakes i got the 3 teir party stand for 15 dollars, yahoo. lots of other stuff too, cant wait to make my next cake can go back tomorrow and use the 40% off coupon, im in heaven lol. oh, well just thought i would share my shopping bargains with my cake friends.

They weren't in my paper yesterday . My instructor stopped me from buying stuff last week, because those coupons were coming out. Drat, now I have to resort to stealing newspapers from my neighbors garbage.

I just got back from Michael's too and dragged my dh and girlfriend along. Got extra cookies sheets, cooling racks and another cake taker. Anticipating the cookie baking for the holidays. May make another run tonight if I can pry dh out of the house. Love those 50% coupons!

I also got the triple party stand..... I used my Mom's too and got the projector but it doesn't work!

I will have to take it back and hit them up for another coupon

Were did you get the Micheals coupon? My paper did not have one.

I went through the whole can't find a coupon in the two papers I bought yesterday either. I went to my local Michaels and explained to them that I bought TWO papers, none with coupons and they said to go get what I wanted and they would honor the coupon anyway.

I'm going after work tonight to use the coupon I found this morning. I can't wait to see what goodies I can find. Then the 40% off coupon tomorrow, and the two other 40% off coupons for Hobby Lobby for this week.....and.......................well, you get the picture. I've GONE MAD !!!! But boy is it fun.

Have you put your party stand together yet? I used my 50% off to get the same stand, then ran over to Hobby Lobby and got the porcelain cake platter. I always open my stuff up and put it together to make sure it all works and isn't broken. One of the legs for my party platter seems to be missing the little notches on the sides that keep it from slipping down through the holes on the base. I was wondering if your stand did the same thing, maybe I just didn't put it together right. Otherwise mine must be defective. It's very pretty stand though, I'm excited to use it!

I never get a Michael's ad in my paper ... but I did this week for the labor day sale. I don't live too close to a Michael's, that's probably why I don't get their coupons ... but they should know that when they advertise like that; people will travel to get a buy!

So, I think I've gone Michaels insane. I bought the professional turntable yesterday for 50% off, went today after work after finding another coupon, and bought the 3 piece set of square pans (8", 12" and 16") - normally $35.99, so I got them for $18.00. THEN, I go into the parking lot to leave, and there is a Michaels ad WITH ANOTHER 50% OFF COUPON in a shopping cart in the lot. OH NO !!!! I can't go back into the Michaels I just went into, so I'm thinking of going to another Michaels to find something else to buy. I came home to get my cell phone, which I forgot this morning, and now, at 7:30 pm I'm contemplating going out again. This has definitely become an addiction (not really, but it sort of feels like it). These coupons don't come around often enough and I need pans and other supplies. So, am I crazy for going back out to get a few more things???

Next thing I know, I'll be saying "Hi, I'm Suzanne and I'm a cake decorating and Michaels addict"....."oh, and a cakecentral.com addict". LOL

FYI...for those who may not know...Joanne's, ACMoore, Michaels and Craft n Stuff all take competitor coupons. I usually take all my coupons to AC Moore because they are way under priced. Example the cupcake tree that Micheals and Joannes carry for $30 ...AC Moore has it for $20!!! Big difference. Just thought I would let you guys know.

ok, my cake stand is beautiful.... but ill go back to michaels anyway, i havent heard of those other stores. just a small town here, we just got the michael store not too long ago. i do have a question, has anybody seen the mini ball pan? i want one really bad, but i havent found one anywhere around here, is it called something else? i want one

i just bought a mini ball pan at a resale shop for $2 last week. I have not seen them in my stores. Might keep your ete opened at resale/yard sales.

For those of you in the Denver area, I learned last night at Michaels (on Broadway south of Highlands Ranch Pkwy) that they honor coupons from Hobby Lobby and three or four other places that the names now escape me.

I ended up buying an oval cake pan set while I was there. Normally $34.99 so I got them for $17.50.

I am definitely a coupon junkie. I will not even go into any craft store without one. I also collect all of my inlaws coupons since they don't use them.

Our Michael's doesn't honor competitor coupons anymore but the Beverly's does but it doesn't helpme since they no longer carry any cake decorating supplies.... bummer!

And I still can't get that projector to work!

I really wanted to use that 50% off on the floating tier stand but it was $69 and I have no idea if I would ever use it!

I bullied my husband into buying 2 Sunday papers this weekend for the coupons and one came with and extra flier!! We were at my parents and drive by the closest Michaels to us on the way home, it's 3 hours from us. I made my 7 year old little boy buy cake stuff too.
We also printed 3 coupons for the Hobby Lobby so I got plenty of new toys.

I just went on the Michael's website and they are not showing the coupon. Its shows a 50% off coupon for framing for Sept 3rd-9th). Would this be the same flyer ?

No, not the same coupon. The one we are talking about was in the sunday newspaper (sorry). I asked at the Michaels store I went to last night how often they have 50% off coupons and she said about 4 times per year.

I love Michael's too. I got the new spiral separator set for half price. Yippie!!!!
