i'm a very amateur baker/cake decorator and just started getting cake orders from people other than my friends. i was wondering if you guys can tell me how many days in advance do you bake the cake before the event? i'll be making a children's cake using wilton chocolate fudge recipe covered in buttercream. and then, this particular customer is ordering 2 cakes for pick-up on friday. one will be eaten on saturday and the other not until monday at kindergarten. i don't know what to tell her and how to say it. thanks in advance!

I usually bake two days before the event. I have started on Tuesday for a Saturday event also. I had 32 six inch cakes so I just iced as I baked.
